MennoPIN encourages all MC USA congregations to become HP-Free churches. Hewlett Packard is one of the largest contractors for the U.S. defense industry and provides registration and surveillance technologies for various types of repression of Palestinians by the Israeli occupation.
Last July MC USA passed a resolution entitled, “Seeking Peace in Israel and Palestine: A Resolution for Mennonite Church USA,” to support justice and peace in Palestine and Israel. The resolution urges individuals and member churches to “avoid purchases and investments directly related to the military occupation of Palestinian territories.”
