IPMN Accompaniment and Awareness Raising Delegation to Palestine and Israel

Trip Dates: May 26 to June 6, 2024

A message from Rev. Susan P. Wilder and Rev. Ron Shive of the Israeli/Palestine Mission Network of the PC(USA): 

We are writing to invite you to a delegation to Palestine and Israel, May 26 – June 6, 2024 sponsored by the Israel/Palestine Mission Network of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). This will be a national grassroots delegation of approximately twenty-five people, both Presbyterians and those of other denominations. This delegation is being planned at the invitation of Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center in Jerusalem. As co-leaders of this delegation, we are reaching out to you in hopes you can join us.

Title: Come and See, Go and Tell: IPMN Accompaniment and Awareness Raising Delegation to Palestine and Israel

Dates: Depart US on Sunday, May 26. Arrive in Amman, Jordan on May 27. Cross Allenby Bridge and arrive in Jerusalem on May 28. May 28 – June 5 in Jerusalem, Ramallah, Nablus, Hebron, and Bethlehem. Depart and return to Amman on June 5. Fly out of Amman and return to the US on Thursday, June 6.

Goals:

  • Express solidarity with the suffering, including partner churches, human rights advocates, families of prisoners held by Hamas and families of Palestinians imprisoned by Israel.
  • Raise awareness and encourage conversations about current events in Gaza in particular and Israel-Palestine in general within the PC(USA) and US churches broadly.
  • Encourage PC(USA) and other denominational public statements and a clear stance regarding current events in Gaza, East Jerusalem, and the West Bank.
  • Raise awareness broadly in the US to help change national sentiments and policies.

Cost: Subsidized, inclusive land cost (including all land transportation, meals, program cost, visa and border taxes, and double occupancy lodging) is $1355. Single supplement is $350. Each person is responsible for his or her own airfare to Amman, Jordan.
